Sphinx pose is combination of Salamba Bhujangasana. It improves blood circulation in the body and stimulates the abdominals and invigorates kidneys and nervous system, relieving the stress.

Position of Readiness:

Lie on your belly, legs side by side.


Stiff your tailbone toward your pubis and lengthen it toward your heels. 
Place your elbows under your shoulders and your forearms on the floor parallel to each other.
Inhaling lift your upper trunk and head away from the floor into a mild backbend.
Now bring awareness to your abdomen. Lightly draw it away from the floor to create a dome that rounds up toward your lower back.
Retain this pose for ten breaths.
Exhaling release this pose.


This pose strengthens the spine, firms the buttocks stretches chest and lungs, shoulders, and abdomen.
